CBC Television Show on West Nile Virus in Horses

Country Canada examines the management of West Nile virus in horses in the province of Ontario. Most Canadians know about West Nile virus. But humans aren't the only victims. Horses too have been hit hard. The virus kills one out of every three horses it infects, and can leave the ones who survive, permanently crippled.

In the United States almost twelve thousand horses have been infected. But here in Canada, there is no national testing program. And in Ontario, at least, some horse owners are wondering why their government doesn't seem to care.
